Also known as the "leopard of the sea", leather from the wolfish is characterized by a natural array of beautiful dark spots. (*please note the Black wolffish does not have visible spots.) There are no scales on these fish, so the leather is smooth and supple as well as being extremely strong. This leather is the largest of the species we offer with an average size of 1.1 square foot and 0.8 mm thickness.
Effective Dec 2025 - wolffish is now considered a threatened species in Iceland and is no longer readily available. Maybe this will change in the future. Not all colors are available.
Sizes are: Small (<1.10), Medium (1.11 to 1.45), Large (1.46 to 1.81), Extra Large (1.82 to 2.22).
